Course Curriculum
WELC provides an excellent curriculum
program to prepare students in continuing their education in
Australia. Students in the Language Centre are divided into groups, based on
their age and language proficiency. Each group follows a timetable
of 30 periods per week. This is summarised in the table below:

The intensive English program includes the language and skills used
in Key Learning Areas taught in Victorian Secondary Colleges, such
as Maths, Science and Computer Studies.

WELC curriculum also includes:

Small classes,

Specialist literacy classes for students who have had
interruptions to their schooling, -
Activities program
including soccer, volleyball, badminton and tennis, -
Opportunities to take part in school events such as assemblies,
athletics, swimming, sports and cultural activities, -
Organised excursions around Melbourne to places of interest, such
as the Zoo, Museum, etc., -
Support of Multicultural Aides in the classroom, -
Fully qualified "English As A Second Language" Teachers.
